Adventure
Adventure allows athletes and teams to push, test and explore their personal boundaries and beliefs. Eclipse offer incremental levels of challenge, so that athletes and teams can choose how far to push themselves.
Wellbeing
The sights, smells and sounds of a natural setting help promote physiological and psychological health, reduced stress, improved mood, increased ability to focus, increased energy levels and improved sleep.
Memorable
Past participants vividly remember things on our programmes from 20 or 30 years ago that have had a profound, positive and lasting effect on them. For the majority of our participants, being out in nature is a novel experience.
Authenticity
In sport, athletes and teams need to be able to make decisions, be true to themselves, show character and present a strong sense of identity.
Space and inspiration
Modern urban life is distracting, busy, noisy and unrelenting. Nature gives us a sense of space both physically and psychologically. The natural environment is fundamentally geared for priming athletes and teams to be present in the moment, self-aware and open to self-reflection.
Performance resilience
Eclipse recognise that athletes and teams need personal coping strategies so that they can perform smartly and effectively within the demanding environments they face in their sports.
High performing teams
Simply putting able athletes together in a team doesn’t mean that a team performance culture will emerge! Eclipse work with teams in a structured way to build core capabilities of athletes so that they can perform in highly effective teams.
Goals for the future
We all have our own patterns that drive the process of decision making. It is about knowing yourself and being honest about what works for you, and what doesn’t, and then most importantly using that knowledge wisely to do something special in the future.
"Unity is strength, when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved"
